I'm interested in purchasing a tiller for my Kubota B7800. Prices appear to run the gamut and I was curious if anyone has a suggestion on selection. I've looked at the ones sold by tractor supply and like the price but with such large variances in cost I'm concerned about their quality.

If you go to the upper right of your screen [Jump to board] click on this and go to tractor attachments/accessories. You will find a number of discussions/arguements of this topic and which is better. It will depend on your application and use. If you do not plan to use it allot, won't encounter tree roots, stones or buried cement the King Kutter will give you excellent service and at substantial cost savings. I use my brother-in-law's King Kutter on my 27HP tractor and haven't broken it yet although a few tree roots have been encountered. I din't mean to indicate that the King Kutter is inferior. Do you drive a Chevy or a Cadillac is kinda the thinking or is orange, green, blue, yellow or red your favorite color! ....

The King Kutter tillers work very well.
Most Tractor Supply stores carry them.
I have had a King Kutter II, 60" tiller for 4 or 5 years now.
No problems, tills great. ....

I purchased a 6' King Kutter tiller last year. I have put it through the ringer and t keeps on tilling. I have hit a thousand rocks with it up to the size of a basketball and it keeps on ticking. I have wrapped a steel rod the width of a large pencil around it. I am not suggesting that this machine is made for this(none are) but it has held up very well. If you are looking at normal use such as a large garden you are wasting money to pay twice the price for other brands.

I ended up with the 4' King Kutter Gear Drive tiller. They also make a lighter Chain drive model for the BX tractors.

The 4' gear drive unit is great so far, and it stays inside the mfg. recommended weight and size specifications. ....
